Unlike the N95 , Nokia N82 has a candy-bar design and has the dimensions
of 112x50.2x17.3 mm and it weights 114 grams. The design isn't a work of
art , but the build quality is really good and the handset leaves an impression
of a strong phone, it feels well built and very solid. The handset comes
in just one color - Silver Titan.
On the top side we can see the power button and the 3.5 mm audio
jack, the right side houses the gallery button , the dedicated camera button
and the volume rocker. On the left side the phone has the MicroUSB slot
and a charger slot, and on the back side you'll see the 5 megapixel camera
with the xenon flash.
The keys are pretty small and cramped but after a while you'll get
used to them ,the buttons are lit in white and they are well visible in
any conditions, and we can say that its more comfortable than that found
on the N73.
Nokia N82 has a 2.4 inch display with QVGA resolution (240x320 pixels)
that can show up to 16 million colors. The display is quite good and it
manages tot deliver a crisp and bright picture. It can display up to 8

that the N82 can stand up to 5 hours of talk time and 225 hours of standby.
As for music time , the N82 can reach 10 hours. On average the battery
will last for around two days and that's similar to other smartphones.
The phone has a 3D accelerator and an AMR11 CPU running at 332
Mhz,and an internal memory of around 100 Mb and the 2 GB card found in
the standard package , but if you should consider that 2 Gb isn't enough
for you the phone can support microSD cards up to 4 Gb.Nokia N82 has USB
2.0 that can reach speeds up to 650 Kb/s and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR support
and the Bluetooth connection can reach speeds up to 100 Kb/s , and it

Like any S60 handset the N82 comes with a lot of preinstalled applications
, some you probably know from other Nokia phones , but there are a few
worth mentioning : One of them is called Video Center and it allows the
user to subscribe to different channels , for exemple YouTube mobile version
and all videos are uploaded into the phone, so can watch them when you
want. Then there's Zip this applications cand extract and create new archives.
Nokia N82 also comes with QuickOffice and Adobe PDF so you won't
have any trouble reading office documents. There is also support for TV
OUT, which simply means you can plug your N82 to the TV and view the screen
of the phone on the TV. The cable for this is provided in the sales box.
Like on your Pc where you can search the hard disk for files , Nokia
N82 has a search utility that allows you to search the device's memory. You
can search through Music , Phone Book , Messages , Images, Videos
etc.This
option appears on the active standby screen, you can search the internet,

Nokia N82 has an integrated GPS receiver and it comes with preinstalled
Nokia Maps. The phone also has A-GPS coupled with Google Maps for turn-by-turn
directions and the bright and clear display makes navigation very easy
to follow.
Camera
The N82 has a 5 megapixel camera that has a Carl Zeiss lens ,with
a xenon flash unit, similar to the ones found in Sony Ericsson K800i and
K850i. Picture quality is great, even in the dark thanks to the new xenon
flash.
The camera has auto focus, and after you have taken a picture you
can go back to the main screen with an impressive speed. After you've taken
a picture, you can upload it to any online services, like VOX and Flickr. The

Even thought the N82 is not a music phone is has a 3.5 mm audio jack, which means you can use your favorite headphones when listening to music. The music player has the same functions as other Nokia branded devices and the sound quality is really good. The phone support the following formats : AAC, AAC+, eAAC, eAAC+, MP3, MP4, M4A, WMA, Mobile XMF, SP-MIDI, AMR (NB-AMR), MIDI Tones (poly 64), RealAudio 7,8,10, True tones (WB-AMR), WAV. Conclusions
At a price of around 450 Euro , the N82 is a great phone , and it
will probably be a best seller. It's direct competitor is the Sony Ericsson
K850i , and thought the K850i is a great phone , Nokia N82 offers a lot
more than the Sony Ericsson handset.Nokia N82 is one of the best camera-phones
available on the market and one of the best handsets from the N-Series.
