phone, a rival for Apple's iPhone , but only a few weeks ago did
Nokia officially launched the all new Nokia 5800 Tube. The phone

Nokia has been very generous with the sales package so it
contains a lot of accessories : Handset , Spare Stylus , Stylus , Stereo
Headset with a remote control , 8 Gb microSD memory card , carrying case
, TV-Out Cable , USB Data Cable , Charger and a Software DVD.
The 5800 Tube has a classic candy-bar shape and it's made out of plastic
, but the materials are pretty good in terms of quality. The phone measures
111x51.7x15.5 mm and weights 109 grams.Nokia doesn't offer more than three
colors for the Nokia 5800 Tube and those three are : Red , Blue and Black. These
colors can be seen on the colored striped that runs along the 5800 trim.
Now let's take a look at the phone's buttons and commands:
On the right side of the phone you can find the volume rocker, display/keypad
lock switch and dedicated camera button and close to the phone's base
is the stylus silo.
On the left you will find two slots , one for microSD memory cards,
the other one is for SIM cards , also on the left side you can find
the phone's speakers.
On top of the 5800 is a standard 3.5 mm audio jack with a 2 mm charger
socket and mircoUSB connector.

Let's talk a little about the phone's display - the display is cover
by a plastic layer so it can be used however you please , with your hands
,with the stylus ..etc.The display has a diagonal of 3.2 inches with 16
milion colors and has a VGA resolution of 640x320 pixels. The screen truly
is a masterpiece , the colors being vivid and bright even in direct sun
light so the Nokia 5800 display is perfect for viewing images, videos
and browsing long lists. The 5800's screen rotates automatically, depending
on what position you hold it in - it takes the phone a split second to
change the setup similar to HTC's Diamond or Apple iPhone.
Being a touchscreen device , the 5800 doesn't have a conventional
keyboard , so the phone only has three mechanical keys on the front of
the phone - Call , End and Menu. The phone can display on the screen three
different keyboards.
The first keyboard is a standard alphanumeric keypad
, to activate it you just have to hold the phone vertically and the keyboard
let's you write like on a conventional phone keypad.
The next keyboard is a miniQWERTY keypad, available in both landscape
and portrait setups. The 5800 will enlarge the button you are hovering
over.
The last type of keyboard is a QWERTY thumbboard that launches only when
holding the phone sideways. It has big buttons that are to tap even with
both hands on the screen. As you can see Nokia 5800 Tube comes with a lot
of texting options more than any other phone available on the market.
The handset utilizes a 1320 mAh Li-Ion battery (BL-5J). The producer
claims that the Nokia 5800 can last for 8.8 hours of talk time (GSM) and
400 hours of standby. Music time - up to 35 hours, video recording time
(top resolution and quality settings) - up to 210 minutes, video playback
time - up to 5 hours.

has around 70-74 Mb or free memory to use.The 5800 comes bundled with
